This dataset originates from the Pew Research Center and Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life’s July 2012 Religion and Politics Survey, conducted between June 28 and July 9, 2012. It includes a general public sample of 2,973 U.S. adults and a supplemental oversample of 511 religiously unaffiliated individuals (Atheist, Agnostic, or “nothing in particular”). The survey explores political attitudes, religious affiliation, and voter preferences leading up to the 2012 presidential election. It also includes detailed weighting strategies and SPSS syntax for horserace modeling, swing vote classification, and battleground state identification
