PEW RESEARCH CENTER FOR THE PEOPLE & THE PRESS JANUARY 2007 NEWS INTEREST INDEX January 10-15

Pew Research Center – January 2007 News Interest Index Conducted January 10–15, 2007 (N=1,708), this nationally representative survey includes an oversample of 395 respondents from congressional districts that flipped party control in the 2006 midterm elections. The survey explores public interest in current events and political transitions, with special attention to newly Democratic districts. The dataset includes constructed variables for flipped districts and party affiliation of representatives, and is weighted to account for oversampling.
