PEW RESEARCH CENTER FOR THE PEOPLE AND THE PRESS 2003 Methodology Study June 2003 News Interest Index

This dataset originates from the Pew Research Center’s June 2003 News Interest Index, conducted between June 4–8, 2003, with a nationally representative sample of 1,000 U.S. adults. It also serves as the Standard 5-day survey for the 2003 Methodology Study, which was later published in the April 20, 2004 report titled “Polls Face Growing Resistance, But Still Representative Survey Experiment Shows.” The study explores public engagement with news and evaluates methodological challenges in survey research, including response rates and representativeness.
