Making data open legally

 

Open data must be legally available for open use. To make data publicly available, a suitable open data license must be applied. If data isn’t publicly available, then it is hard for others to use it (or even decide whether to use it). Explicit licensing is essential to provide clarity and certainty to users and reusers (and is needed even if data is to be in the ‘public domain’).

You can share your data on Open Data Pakistan (ODP) under one of the following open licenses.

Creative Commons

1. Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0)

You are free:
