Weights available in the dataset:

WEIGHT – combined landline + cell interviews (default for analysis).

LLWEIGHT – landline-only sample.

CELLWEIGHT – cell-only sample.

Geographic variables: Since Fall 2008, respondent self-reported ZIP codes form the basis for geographic variables (region, state, county). Sample-based geographic variables (prefixed s) are retained for archival purposes only.

Privacy protections: Telephone numbers, county, and ZIP code have been removed.

Constructed demographic variables:

racecmb – combines multiple race items into consolidated categories.

racethn – combines race and Hispanic origin into race-ethnicity categories.
