Pew Research Center for the People & the Press October 2014 Political Survey

The Pew Research Center for the People & the Press October 2014 Political Survey was conducted October 15–20, 2014 among 2,003 U.S. adults via landline and cell phone using random-digit dialing (RDD). The survey measured public opinion ahead of the 2014 midterm elections, covering issues such as the Ebola outbreak, U.S. involvement against ISIS, party image, voter contact, and campaign engagement.

The dataset includes weight variables for analysis of combined, landline-only, and cell-only samples. Additionally, the dataset provides a constructed Likely Voter Scale (LVS), along with weights for likely and unlikely voters, and derived demographic variables such as race and ethnicity.
