The Monthly Survey of Industrial Production & Employment in Punjab (2021) is a monthly industrial statistics dataset published by the Bureau of Statistics Punjab under its Current Industrial Statistics (CIS) program. The dataset provides timely information on industrial production and employment across Punjab's large-scale manufacturing sector, covering approximately 2,000 industrial units and 45 major industries that account for about 72% of the province’s large-scale manufacturing value added. It includes data on the production of around 100 selected industrial products, employment levels, and other manufacturing indicators, enabling policymakers, researchers, and economists to monitor industrial performance, assess economic growth, and support evidence-based planning. The 2021 survey is particularly valuable for analyzing post-pandemic industrial recovery trends, sectoral production changes, and employment dynamics within Punjab’s manufacturing economy.
