MICS Punjab 2017-18

The Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) for Punjab is a large-scale, nationally representative household survey conducted by the Government of Punjab with technical support from UNICEF. It is designed to collect detailed and comparable data on the health, education, nutrition, and living conditions of women and children, along with broader household characteristics such as water and sanitation, housing quality, and asset ownership. The survey uses a scientifically structured sampling design to ensure representation across all districts of Punjab, covering both rural and urban areas. The resulting dataset is widely used for monitoring social indicators, assessing inequalities, and evaluating progress toward development goals, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), making it a key resource for policymakers, researchers, and public health professionals.
